Executive Chef for Malaysia's Danna Langkawi Boutique Hotel & Spa

The Danna Langkawi, a luxury boutique hotel and Spa situated on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia is looking for an EXECUTIVE CHEF to join the culinary team!

The Executive Chef will focus on the motivation and ongoing management of a very enthusiastic kitchen team. The success of this role will be determined by the ability of the Executive Chef to develop further our team, as well as placing equal importance on providing excellent food for our wide range of international clientele.

This role reports directly to the General Manager and oversees all kitchen operations including stewarding.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader and able to demonstrate a positive coaching ability and a past track record of excellent culinary success. He will have a passion for excellence, strong creative and artistic culinary skills, as well as the energy and enthusiasm to build a memorable dining experience. Qualifications & Experience required:
This role requires you to be suitably qualified with Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills along with a minimum 4yrs experience as Executive Chef in a 5* boutique hotel/resort property. 

The main area of focus in this role would be continuing to lift the level of food and continue to up skill the Chefs.

 Previous experience in Malaysia/Asia is a must 
 European trained skilled in deluxe resort operations
 Proven experience in developing local staff members
 Positive attitude with hands on approach
 Adhering to food safety standards
 Build and train the team of chefs
 Speaks fluent English
 Friendly & energetic personality, great team player
 CV shows stability
 Cross cultural sensitivity
 Prior remote location experience is preferred
 This role is most suited to a single status candidate
